Melanie Surber, MSN, RN, is the Chief Program Officer for CyncHealth. In her role, she leads the Clinical Services Team to drive the growth and value of the Health Information Exchange (HIE), Social Determinants of Health and Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) to providers, pharmacies, health systems, and community entities. She facilitates new opportunities to use data to improve patient care, quality, and care management outcomes. Melanie supports the expansion of regulatory certifications and reporting opportunities on behalf of providers, while she also leads and supports the development of local and network-wide clinical integration efforts including, but not limited to, CyncHealth clinical initiatives, supporting quality, safety, and value.

Prior to joining CyncHealth, Melanie Surber served as a Sr. Director of Quality and Care Management at WellCare Nebraska where she was responsible for obtaining accreditation with the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), with successful Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) reporting and implemented a fully integrated care management team of nurses, social workers, and licensed mental health providers. In total, Melanie holds 29 years of experience in direct patient care, managed care-accountable care organizations, clinically integrated networks, and Manage Medicaid industries. She works with the Nebraska Asthma Coalition, is on the Board for Milkworks and is on the Wellbeing Partners Executive Committee.

Melanie Surber is actively pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Creighton University and earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing/Nurse Executive from the Methodist College of Nursing.
