John Jackovin is the Executive Director of BrokerTech Ventures, the first broker-led insurtech accelerator in the country, where he helps early-stage startups find their footing with the brokers, carriers, and wholesalers who actually buy what they build. Before that, he spent time on the other side of the table, as a founder (Bawte, a Techstars '14 company) and as a product manager at Dwolla. Thus, he has been the person pitching, the person building, and now the person opening doors.

He also runs Fluid, an agentic software company building bespoke agents for SMB's, mostly because he never quite stopped liking to build things himself. He's a University of Iowa grad and lives in the Des Moines area, where he has strong opinions about hazy IPAs and slightly weaker opinions about everything else.
