Julie Spore is Transamerica's Chief Administration Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. With more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Julie has held multiple leadership roles in risk management and actuarial functions across the U.S. and internationally.
In her current role, Julie is focused on strategic transformation and has the responsibility to help guide Transamerica's vision to become America's leading middle market life insurance and retirement company. Previously, as Chief Risk Officer, she advanced enterprise risk management and control maturity, ensuring alignment with business strategy during periods of significant volatility and uncertainty.
Julie has contributed to industry thought leadership as a member of the Federal Advisory Committee on Insurance (FACI), supporting the U.S. Department of Treasury's Federal Insurance Office. She also serves on the Vaughan Institute of Risk Management Advisory Board and has been active in community service, including board leadership for a Cedar Rapids nonprofit focused on neighborhood revitalization and access to safe housing and healthy food.
Julie earned a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Iowa and holds the Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) and Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designations.
